The primary task is to visually express what is happening now. The use of a variety of technique grows from necessity, for instance some days are soft and call for fabric and other days may be shiny or prickly and so on, you get the idea. Multi-tasking and serial thinking can be practiced to a fault, which happens. I am consciously aware that ability to limit and select is also a critical part of my art making. You know the part when an artist simply sits staring at stuff? That's working.
Next is to integrate that primary task with memories of pasts and visualization of the futures, which includes working with recall and lucid dreaming. This takes time and a willing spirit.
I make marks. It's my legacy.
