Alright, folks, gather ’round, because today I’m gonna share a little project I’ve been working on – figuring out the Chinese zodiac signs of famous people. It’s been a bit of a rabbit hole, but a fun one!

So, I started by hitting up the internet, just typing in things like “Chinese zodiac sign” and my birthday, or some celebrity’s birthday. You know, just to get a feel for how this whole thing works. There’s a bunch of websites out there that’ll tell you your sign based on your birth year, it is pretty straightforward.

Then, I dug a bit deeper. I found these charts that show which signs are supposed to be most compatible. Apparently, in the old days, people took this stuff pretty seriously when it came to relationships. I even stumbled upon a “love calculator” based on the Chinese zodiac. That was a trip! The results are based on the moon’s cycles, which is kind of cool when you think about it.

  • I learned that the Chinese zodiac, just like the Korean one, goes in a 12-year cycle, with each year represented by a different animal.
  • Found a list of famous people born in the Year of the Rat.
  • I realized you could use this as a “double check” for compatibility in relationships. Like, not just romantic ones, but friendships and family too.

After gathering all this, I made a list of famous people and their birth years, and matched each one up to their corresponding animal sign. It was a bit tedious, but I got into a good rhythm.

Here is what I achieved

I’ve compiled a whole list, from actors to musicians to historical figures. It’s pretty interesting to see who shares a sign and to think about whether their personalities match up with what the zodiac says. This project had me thinking, it is a neat way to learn a bit about Chinese culture and have some fun with astrology. I have to say that it is a good way to kill some time on the weekend.

Anyways, that’s my little adventure in the world of Chinese zodiac signs. I hope you found it somewhat interesting. If you are bored, you can try it yourself!
